Cavan Traveller Interagency Group

Breffni Integrated continues to be a member of the TIG steering group and also a member of the education subgroup, which was established last year to try and address early school leaving and low school attendance amongst the Traveller population, as well as addressing other issues such as discrimination faced by Travellers within the education sector. The group also drafted the Traveller Accommodation Review for County Cavan which will be submitted to Cavan County Council and are working with Cena Housing Association around designing Traveller specific accommodation for Cavan.
