Did you know that you can start your own business and keep your social welfare for up to two years!


The Back to Work Enterprise Allowance Scheme which is a social welfare scheme allows you to do just that. You may also get to keep your secondary benefits such as a medical card and fuel allowance.


Over 70% of people on this scheme stay in business after they have finished on the scheme.


Many businesses have gone on to be highly successful some are even award winners and have received funding through Dragons Den

The Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme (SICAP) is co-funded by the Irish Government, through the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht, and the European Social Fund Plus under the Employment, Inclusion, Skills and Training (EIST) Programme 2021 -2027.
