Celebrating Innovation at the Schools Enterprise Awards

Updated: Jul 23, 2025

Last week, I had the privilege of attending the Schools Enterprise Awards on behalf of Cavan County Local Development. This inspiring event showcased the entrepreneurial talents of students from across the county.

A total of nine schools participated, presenting 48 innovative projects developed by 160 students. The level of creativity and execution on display was truly impressive. These young entrepreneurs demonstrated not only business acumen but also problem-solving skills and a drive for innovation.

It was fantastic to see such enthusiasm and dedication from the next generation of business leaders. Events like these highlight the importance of fostering entrepreneurial spirit among young people, equipping them with skills that will serve them well in the future.

Congratulations to all the students, teachers, and organizers for making the event a resounding success!
