This autumn, 23 participants have begun computer training classes across three local venues in Glangevlin, Bawnboy, and Belturbet. These courses are designed to make essential digital skills more accessible to individuals who might otherwise find it difficult to attend training in larger towns or cities.

The initiative has been made possible through strong local partnerships:

Speaking about the programme, CCLD highlighted how vital it is to continue supporting individuals in rural communities to gain the skills they need to stay connected, access services, and increase opportunities for both work and everyday life.

By working together, we are ensuring that communities in West Cavan are not left behind in the digital age.

The Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme (SICAP) is co-funded by the Irish Government, through the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht, and the European Social Fund Plus under the Employment, Inclusion, Skills and Training (EIST) Programme 2021 -2027.
