Empowering County Cavan: Unveiling the LEADER 2023-2027 Funding Programme for Communities and Businesses

Cavan LEADER 2023-2027 funding programme is open to accept 'Expressions of Interests' following the first planned public information event in the Realtóg Centre, Kilnaleck at 7pm on Tuesday 30 April 2024.


Community groups, private individuals and new or existing businesses are invited to find out more about Cavan LEADER 23-27 funding and its application process. Please come along to one of the following events in:

  • St Patrick's Hall, Glangevlin N41 Y661 at 7pm on Tuesday 7 May 2024 or

  • St. Michael’s Hall, Cootehill. H16 EH61 at 7pm on Thursday 9 May 2024.


If you cannot make it to one of the above, there is also an option for you to attend an online Zoom presentation regarding the Cavan LEADER programme on Wednesday 15 May 2024 at 7.00pm. To receive the Zoom login details, please email leader@ccld.ie confirming your full name, which of the three themes below that you are interested in and the name of your nearest town/village.


The new round of Cavan LEADER funding will be available in accordance with three THEMES in the Cavan Local Development Strategy (LDS):

  1. Economic Development & Job Creation

  2. Rural Infrastructure & Social Inclusion

  3. Sustainable Development and Climate Change Mitigation & Adaptation

LEADER staff will be available at each of the public information events to provide individual guidance on ‘getting started’ with the application process. All information about the LEADER application process (including Expression of Interest forms) will be available on this website following the launch on 30th April 2024.  Further information about Cavan LEADER application process is available on https://www.ccld.ie/apply-for-leader-funding
