Week 4 of the ‘Ceoil Aris’ Trad Music Programme in Ballyconnell

Welcome to week 4 of our exciting 8-week ‘Ceoil Aris’ Trad Music Programme, brought to you by the Ballyconnell Community Centre and the International Fund for Ireland. This initiative, titled "Return to Music" with Daragh Slacke, is designed to bring the joy of traditional Irish music back to the community through weekly sessions at Lizzie Buggies Bar in Ballyconnell.


The Session Details


  • When: Every Thursday until 5th June 2025

  • Time:

    • 6pm - Slow Session (Learn tunes, gather music & play together for those who can play but need practice & confidence)

    • 7pm - Fast Session (Bring your instrument & join in!)

  • Where: Lizzie Buggies Bar, Ballyconnell


What to Expect


The sessions are a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich tradition of Irish music. Whether you're a beginner looking to build confidence or an experienced player ready to dive into faster tunes, there’s a session for you. Bring your instrument and join the lively group as we learn, practice, and enjoy music together.


About the Programme


Now in its fourth week, the ‘Ceoil Aris’ programme has been a resounding success, fostering a sense of community and musical heritage. With two more months to go, there’s still plenty of time to get involved and experience the magic of trad music sessions.
