Visitors to Virginia Library on Friday, 7 March will have the chance to experience something truly special. The Multicultural Women’s Shed, Women Without Borders, is hosting an International Independent Women’s Day Celebration — an uplifting event designed to showcase culture, creativity and community in a welcoming, inclusive space.

This celebration invites women of all nationalities to come together, share traditions, and take pride in their heritage. The event highlights the growing impact of multicultural community development in Cavan and the vital role it plays in social inclusion and integration. For funding partners and state bodies, it demonstrates clear outcomes in participation, empowerment and community cohesion. For media, it offers a positive and timely story about unity across cultures. And for women attending, it provides a safe and supportive space to connect, express and celebrate who they are.
