Celebrating Women in Enterprise with Support from CCLD and SICAP

Updated: Jul 23

The past few weeks have been inspiring for women entrepreneurs in County Cavan, with several milestones celebrated — all supported through the Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme (SICAP) and Cavan County Local Development (CCLD).

Lisa Mullaney of P3 Café, Bailieborough, proudly made her debut on Ireland AM, showcasing her passion and enterprise to a national audience. This media appearance marks a significant achievement in her business journey, supported by CCLD’s enterprise mentoring and networking opportunities.

Also in Bailieborough, Ernesta Novikova officially launched her new Bookkeeping Service. Ernesta, another SICAP-supported entrepreneur, shared her experience as a guest speaker at the recent Cavan Women’s Business Network event — an initiative that fosters connection, visibility and peer support for women in business. The event was attended by CCLD staff, including Lenka Stubniakova and myself, reinforcing our commitment to empowering women locally.

These successes reflect the impact of targeted local supports in helping individuals take the next step in their business journey.

The Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme (SICAP) is co-funded by the Irish Government, through the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht, and the European Social Fund Plus under the Employment, Inclusion, Skills and Training (EIST) Programme 2021 -2027.

Tá an Clár um Chuimsiú Sóisialta agus Gníomhachtú Pobail (SICAP) cómhaoinithe ag Rialtas na hÉireann, tríd an Roinn Forbartha Tuaithe agus Pobail agus Gaeltachta, agus Ciste Sóisialta na hEorpa Plus faoin gClár Fostaíochta, Cuimsiú, Scileanna agus Oiliúna (EIST) 2021 -2027.
