Cavan County Local Development (CCLD) is pleased to promote Generation Nature, an exciting cross-border programme that supports young people to connect with nature, build confidence, and take positive climate action in their communities.

For Young People (Aged 15–16)
If you enjoy being outdoors, care about nature, or want to make a difference, Generation Nature is for you. This 30-hour programme runs from April to June and includes hands-on conservation activities, outdoor learning, and leadership skills — all delivered in a supportive, fun group setting.
No previous experience is needed — just curiosity and a willingness to get involved.
For Community & Youth Groups
CCLD encourages community organisations, youth groups and schools across County Cavan to share this opportunity with young people they work with. Programmes like Generation Nature help strengthen youth participation, environmental awareness, and local leadership capacity.
Supporting Climate & Community Action
By promoting initiatives such as Generation Nature, CCLD continues to support community-led climate action, youth empowerment, and cross-border collaboration. Sharing opportunities like this ensures that local communities are aware of, and can access, high-quality climate education and engagement programmes.
