Cavan County Local Development (CCLD) was able to deliver this programme thanks to funding from the International Fund for Ireland. The investment created more than just activities — it built confidence, supported leadership, fostered inclusion, and strengthened local relationships.

Our Thanks

We extend sincere appreciation to the Ballyconnell Community Centre Committee, Cavan PPN, and Cavan County Council for their partnership in delivering this project. Their commitment has been central to its success.

A heartfelt thank you also goes to the wider Ballyconnell community, Cavan Sports Partnership, our club leaders, facilitators, volunteers, and all participants — your energy and involvement brought Grassroots Ballyconnell to life.

Special thanks to our guest speakers — Terry Hyland (CCLD), Taragh Donohoe (BCC), musicians Gráinne Brady & Micheál Biggins, and storyteller Daniel Downey — for contributing to a memorable and uplifting closing event.

And a special acknowledgment to Laura Brady, Project Coordinator, whose leadership ensured the successful delivery of this 18‑month programme.

Looking Ahead

Although this phase of Grassroots Ballyconnell has come to a close, its legacy continues. The clubs are active, the Social Club is growing, and the Community Centre remains open to new opportunities, new ideas, and new partnerships.

We have built strong foundations — and will continue to build on them.
