Cavan County Local Development was delighted to support community participation at this year’s 82nd Annual Virginia Agricultural Show, one of the biggest rural events in the county calendar.
Members of The Little Redo Like New Project and Ballyjamesduff Men’s Shed, both supported under the SICAP programme, proudly took part in a range of class categories, showcasing their creativity, skills, and commitment to sustainability.
From upcycled crafts to handmade woodwork, their entries reflected the strong community spirit and dedication to climate action that is at the heart of their projects. The Show provided a fantastic opportunity to connect with the wider community, celebrate rural heritage, and highlight the importance of re-use, repair, and local skills.
Well done to all participants for their enthusiasm and achievements – your contribution made the day even more special!
🌱 At CCLD, we are proud to see local initiatives thriving and creating positive change through the SICAP programme.
