Healthy Food Made Easy – Learn, Cook, and Enjoy!

Are you ready to make healthier choices in the kitchen without breaking the bank?The Healthy Food Made Easy programme is back in Cavan for Spring 2026 – and it’s the perfect opportunity to prepare, cook, and taste delicious, nutritious meals while having fun.

This free 6-week course is designed for groups who want to boost their cooking skills, learn about healthy eating, and discover practical ways to make balanced meals on a budget. Every participant also receives a FREE “101 Square Meals” cookbook – packed with easy, affordable recipes to try at home.


What You’ll Learn


Throughout the course, you’ll explore a variety of engaging topics, including:

  • Building the Food Pyramid – understanding the foundations of a healthy diet.

  • The Fibre Providers – why fibre matters and where to find it.

  • Focus on Fats – learning the good from the bad.

  • Food for Life – healthy eating for all ages and stages.

  • Shop Smart – how to make cost-effective and healthy choices at the supermarket.

  • The Road Ahead – putting your new skills into everyday practice.
