Cavan County Local Development (CCLD) is happy to have supported the networking event, held Friday 5th of June, designed to bring together community organisations, services, and groups from across the region to share ideas, build relationships, and explore ways of supporting local communities on a budget.

“Knowing Me Knowing You – Connecting on a Budget” took place on Friday, 5th June 2026, from 10:00am to 1:00pm at Gallonray House, Madabawn, County Cavan (H16 X409).

This event provided a valuable opportunity for organisations to come together, learn from one another, and identify practical, low-cost ways to support individuals, families, and communities. Attendees could:
Meet local organisations and community groups
Share ideas, experiences, and good practice
Explore affordable community supports and resources
Build new connections and partnerships
Strengthen local networks and collaboration
The BBQ lunch provided on the day, and ice breaker activities offered additional opportunities for informal networking and discussion and getting to know partners and details of service they provide.
Strong partnerships are essential to creating thriving and inclusive communities. Events such as this help organisations across co. Cavan and Monaghan develop meaningful connections, share resources, and work together to address local needs more effectively.
The event was organised by the Tusla Child and Family Support Network and CYPSC (Children and Young People’s Services Committees).
