Mental Health Workshop in Cavan: Finding Support When It’s Needed

Members of the community in Cavan are invited to attend a Mental Health Workshop hosted by Teach Oscail Family Resource Centre. The event will focus on helping individuals, parents and carers learn how to access supports and respond to mental health challenges when they arise.


Mental health and wellbeing are important for everyone. At times, people may experience stress, anxiety or emotional difficulties. Knowing where to turn for support can make a significant difference. This workshop aims to provide practical information, guidance and reassurance for anyone who wants to better understand the supports available locally and nationally.



What the Workshop Will Cover


Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Learn how to support themselves and others during times of distress

  • Hear from local staff about services available in Cavan to support mental health

  • Discover national and local supports available for individuals, parents and carers

  • Develop practical strategies for supporting loved ones experiencing mental health challenges


The session is designed to be welcoming and informative, offering guidance to parents, carers and concerned adults who want to strengthen their ability to respond to mental health difficulties within their families or communities.

Supporting Mental Health in Our Communities


The workshop is supported by partners including Health Service Executive and Connecting for Life Cavan and Monaghan, who work together to promote mental health awareness and ensure people know how to access help when they need it.
